3D plane groomsman's cake

I made this 3D airplane for our good friend's mom's wedding. The bride wanted a surprise groomsman's cake for her groom. He proposed to her with a plane flying a "Will you marry me?" banner behind it. So it only seemed to fit that the groomsman's cake was the same only saying "Just Married".

The body of the plane was cake while the wings were made from foam core board covered in fondant, supported inside the cake with skewers. Clouds were also fondant, while the "Just Married" banner is just printed paper (I tried gumpaste, but failed and did not have a backup).

(Next time I'll definitely make sure the caterer gets the memo to remove the big, ugly balls of fondant under the wings and propeller that were meant for transportation supports only. Gah!!! How ugly....)

Cowboy theme gender reveal cake

I received an order for a gender reveal cake. The mom wanted a cowboy theme, specifically pink and blue fondant cowboy boots. I also added pink and blue cow spots and a rope.  I think it turned out super cute.

Oh, and by the way.... it was filled with BLUE cream cheese filling! Congratulations on your little guy!

Nurse Graduation cake

I made a cake for our good friend's wife for graduating nursing school this year. I loved doing this cake. All the little details are so fun to create. Nursing cap, 3D pill bottle/lid with pills spilling out, band-aids, heart beat monitor and a stethoscope complete the details. Super happy with this.

Traffic Signal cake

A good friend of my sister in law was hosting a book release party for a book titled 'Together' and asked me to create a cake that looks like a large traffic light signal... as well as matching cupcakes. I was thrilled with the results (especially since a rectangle is such a difficult shape to achieve).

Spider Man cake

This Spider Man cake was for Emery's twin brother Griffin. All fondant, piped black icing lines, piped name.

TinkerBell cake

I made this TinkerBell cake for dear family friends little girl Emery. Everything is fondant, I even hand cut her face/hair/wings/dress from fondant, and used edible fine tip markers.

Mint and burlap wedding shower cake

I made this cake for a wedding shower. I just LOVE the burlap flower (not fondant, from Hobby Lobby) and fondant pearls.
